What is Account Information Service Provider (AISP) ?

AISPs or Account Information Service Providers are the providers of Account Information Services. AISPs generally provide journeys that allow the customer to authenticate and authorise sharing of data from their ASPSP (e.g. bank). They can then access and use the account information stored at these institutions to provide a variety of value-add services. Some examples include:

1. Transaction classification
2. Account aggregation
3. Account analytics, such as spending breakdowns and forecasts
4. Personal finance management tools (e.g. budgeting app)
