What is Account Servicing Payment Service Provider (ASPSP) ?

An ASPSP or Account Servicing Payment Service Provider is any financial institution that offers a payment account with online access. Common examples include banks and building societies. Under PSD2 and Open Banking, ASPSPs have to provide access to authorised third parties to access account information and initiate payments.
